IN PHOTOS: At About 12:30 PM Members of Masidtalak Class of 2023 P/Cdt Alabado, P/Cdt Barrientos, P/Cdt Mendoza, and P/Cdt Palo joined the KASIMBAYANAN( Kapulisan-Simbahan-Pamayanan) at Malolos City Brgy. Mabolo.
The PNP has adopted the KASIMBAYANAN stands for “Kapulisan, Simbahan at Pamayanan''— a revitalized program that bridges the PNP, the general public, faith-based organizations, and key stakeholders towards peaceful, safe, and protected communities.[1] a community-oriented policing initiative, to increase public safety and security by creating tighter ties between police personnel and the neighborhoods they serve. By integrating residents in the creation and execution of crime prevention and community-building projects, the program seeks to address the underlying causes of crime and enhance the quality of life in local communities.
The KASIMBAYANAN Program is an important aspect of the training program for us Cadets. This project is designed to provide us with an opportunity to serve our communities and develop a sense of civic responsibility. The KASIMBAYANAN Project involves us participating in various community services activities, such as disaster relief efforts, environmental conservation initiatives, and assistance to underprivileged communities. The project aims of the project are to provide us with an opportunity to give back to our communities and to help those in need.
During our community service activities, we also learned about the real-world challenges that the Kasimbayanan community faces. Poverty, lack of access to basic services, and other socio-economic issues were prevalent in the community. As a cadet, this experience allowed me to understand and appreciate the daily struggles of the people in the community. It also gave me a sense of purpose and motivation to work hard and become a law enforcement officer who can make a positive difference in the community.
In my opinion, Participating in the "KASIMBAYANAN" Program is an important opportunity to develop our leadership skills, learn about the needs of our communities, and gain a deeper appreciation for the role of police officers in society. The project also provides the Cadets with an opportunity to work with members of the communities and develop strong relationships with the people we serve. Kasimbayanan Program also seeks to organize the community as peace advocates, to ensure that every citizen is law-abiding. It also aspires for church leaders to counsel their members, thereby contributing to reformation.[2]
Overall, the Kasimbayanan Project is an important aspect of the training program at PNPA and is designed to help the cadets become well-rounded and effective police officers who are committed to serving their communities with distinction. Through the project, cadets are exposed to the realities and challenges faced by underprivileged communities and are encouraged to develop solutions to address these issues. This experience helps cadets develop a deeper understanding of their role as future law enforcers and leaders in their communities. Additionally, the project promotes the values of selflessness, empathy, and civic duty, which are essential qualities for a successful career in public service.
