Breaking Through the Barriers:
Conquering Self-Imposed Limits

Sic Parvis Magna
"Greatness From Small Beginnings"

“For a man to conquer himself is the first and noblest of all victories”

-Plato

Conquering self-imposed limitations is a powerful and transforming journey that calls for intense introspection and self-reflection. I encounter limiting ideas and self-talk that, at some point during my cadetship, prevents me from pursuing my aspirations and attaining my goals. One of the obstacles that I break through is our family tradition, Most of my family are medical professionals. My Father is a Dental Technician and my Mother is a Dentist. Both of my siblings took up medical-related courses, one in Veterinary Medicine and the other one in Medical Technology. They always question my path but being the black sheep of the family makes me unique in my way. I took up the courage to take the road less traveled.

"Gone But Not Forgotten: Recognizing the Heroism of the SAF 44"

In the mountains, where the air is thin

The brave soldiers of SAF, stood tall and grim

Their mission was to keep the peace

To serve and protect, with courage and ease

They knew the risks, they knew the price

But they faced the enemy, without compromise

Their duty was to serve with honor and pride

Even if it meant laying down their lives

And so they fought, with hearts of steel

Against the forces, they would not yield

They stood their ground, until the end

Their sacrifice will never be forgotten

For they are heroes, of the highest kind

Their bravery and courage will forever shine

They may be gone, but their legacy lives on

SAF 44, the brave soldiers, are now gone but never forgotten.
