IN PHOTOS: On or about 08:00 AM of January 14, 2022, P/CDT ALABADO, P/CDT BARRIENTOS, P/CDT MENDOZA, and P/CDT PALO reported to Malolos City Police Station and rendered a courtesy call to PCPT ERNESTO H. CLEMENTE, Chief, Intelligence and Investigation Section of MCPS.

The MASIDTALAK Class of 2023 began their first day at their respective allocated police station. The cadets received advice on several aspects of what a Police Officer does on a daily basis. A briefing and an instruction schedule were also provided with respect to the length of the Cadet Attachment Program (CAP).

As we are about to render a courtesy call to the Chief of Police of Malolos Police Station, we were welcomed and accommodated by PCPT ERNESTO H. CLEMENTE, Chief, Intelligence and Investigation Section of MCPS. in the absence of the COP, he faced us and gave us short advice on becoming an officer. He focused on service reputation and bringing out the best in his men. He said that a good service reputation helps to build trust between the police and the community they serve. When the community has faith in the police force, they are more likely to cooperate with law enforcement efforts, which in turn, helps to reduce crime.

Based on his story about his leadership style, I should say that his leadership is "Transformational Leadership".it is defined as a leadership approach that causes a change in individuals and social systems. In its ideal form, it creates valuable and positive change in the followers with the end goal of developing followers into leaders.[1] he teaches his men to be independent and trained them to be a leader.

He also refers us to Provincial Police Office to render a courtesy call because this is to show respect and acknowledgment to our Provincial Director. It will allow us to introduce ourselves and our purpose for being there. By doing so, we show that they recognize and appreciate the opportunity that has been given to them to learn from the organization. In addition to showing respect and gratitude, a courtesy call is also an opportunity for the cadets to establish a positive relationship with our upperclassmen. PCPT Ernesto H. Clemente said that visit will allow us to learn about the values, goals, and culture of the organization, which can help us better understand the context in which will be working.

To conclude, Having a positive service reputation as a police officer is important because a good service reputation also promotes accountability. When officers are held to a high standard of conduct and are known for their professionalism and integrity, they are less likely to engage in misconduct. This helps to maintain public trust and confidence in the police force. also, a courtesy call is very important in our organization because this is a way to establish personal connections between the cadets and the staff of the host institution or organization. This can be particularly beneficial if the cadets will be working closely with the staff during their attachment. A personal connection can help to build trust and rapport, which can help the cadets to be more effective in their work and to learn more from their experiences.
